Hmm.. Just Hmm.

I dont really understand, maybe im getting forgetful in my ripe old age of nearly 34 but, it seems as if every time i have something to blog about i forget it. Has happened alot lately, so with that i guess ill just carry on with whats been going on. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago, Em and I had our first day of school. Excited I was, and she was not. We'd been planning and planning this for i really dont know how long, until registration/class room day came. Walked in the door of "the big school" (high school)  as she calls it, and she was just in awe with all the pictures, trophies, that were on the wall. I was just looking for the registration desk, to write my fat check and get the hell outta there..Technically, i am not much of a people person. Dont get me wrong, I love my circle of friends dearly, but, there is a thin line in there as well.

We then went to lunch, nothing of any excitement, just typical Emmie food of mini corn dogs and chocolate milk.. But she was happy.. On to her "big girl school" (elementary school) We stopped to drop her stuff off in the class room. She immediately grabbed her backpack out of my hand ran to her room and without batting an eye said "bye mommy". *GASP* Not quite tears but pretty damn close. My baby is growing up, and the first thing i thought was she didnt need me anymore. I followed her in and we got her things settled, but she didnt really want to leave and was more concerned with me being there still and not just leaving her. I had the pleasure of talking to the new preschool teacher while i was there, and with her knowing Em and I from previous summer as she was telling me that she was going to be helping in the class room for a couple weeks made my heart warm. Em took such a liking to her a few summers ago, it was almost an instantaneous bond between the two. Em was stoked.

She got to talk to a few of her friends from the prior year and made some new friends along the way. However, this time her trip to the kindergarten room was going to be cut short. Last year was a struggle. A HUGE struggle for us. Being one of the youngest kids in her class, yet the size of an 8 year old, i knew in my heart that preschool was going to be a mess. Im not going to sit here and point finger at her teacher, but however i will say, she didnt help the situation much. Every day was a struggle for Em. She loved school, loved her friends, teachers, but when it came down to it, she just couldn't get it. All in all we made it through the year, lots of ups and downs but survived. Made it on to kindergarten by the skin of our teeth, and the year already started out a mess. Kicking, screaming, crying you name it... it happened here.

So fast forwarding, I kept her Communication notebook that they passed out after christmas last year, and took it in to her teacher, said, hey use this because how else am i going to know how my kid is doing in school. And thankfully enough she gladly accepted.

Well as it was, we decided that there was a meeting that came into play about how Ems behavior was. After many trials, tribulations, and discussions the idea was made that we would put her back in pre school.. I will be honest, it really wasnt how i wanted it to go.. In fact, not at all.  But at this time i really dont know what the other option was at this point.. I mean, its almost as of things were meant to be that way.. And she was going to blossom with another year under her belt..  I guess all in all I hope I did the right thing.. I dont want her to suffer for the fact i did something she clearly didnt need.

At any rate, its over an done.. Theres not a whole lot i can do about it now, and she loves school, thats the most important part to me.. More than anything.. <3

Oohh... I am so dense... lol

So  I know a few posts back.. which seems like forever to most of you, that I posted a price list as to what my current hat prices were. Well since the good ol' goverment is gonna sock it to us small business again, I have had to change once again the current price list.  Its the shipping that is killing me more than anything, and i would love to be able to give you a beautiful product that was inexpensive. Unfortunately, I cant send it nearly as inexpensive anymore and it really makes me sad.

This was my price list from a year or so ago...  Id like to say in simpler times but thats not the case.
My current price list will go as follows:

Single strand (solid or striped see above) are $7.50(USD)
Double strand(same as above) $9.50(USD)
Strawberry or Solid color of heavy weight $11.50(USD)
As of February, 1st 2012 these totals do not include shipping so when ordering add $5 to your total.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fuzzy-Wuzzy-Hats/180820315287319  is the link to my page on facebook, feel free to look comment whatever you wish.

So since this is all happening, I have had to change it... my price increase will go up  by $5 to cover shipping costs I do regret that this has to happen but, its my only choice.  Thank you all for being so kind and patient with me during my journey. You are all great people.

Back in Action!

*Guess who's back, back again. Shady's back, tell a friend. Guess who's back, guess who's back? Guess who's back, guess who's back? Guess who's back ...*

Okay, so i'm not Eminem, nor do i really want to be..*laughs* But, after much procrastination and much encouragement from the sister(in law Jessica) here i am again, with the same horrible grammar, punctuation, and everything else as i had before.  but then again, thats what sets me aside from everyone else. :)  i'm not gonna go on and on with things that have happened over the last 10 months because we'd be here forever if i did, I will share the fact, I have made some great friends, and some enemies, and even better friends who use to be friends with the enemy.. *Laughs*  all in all the last 10 months have been highs, lows, in between, have came to terms with a lot of things as well. i feel lucky and blessed to be able to do the things that i love to do.

So with that being said, here I am. I have worked on some more hats, and have a couple for sale if anyone is interested, please send me a facebook message located in the very first blog post where you can see my facebook hat page. I will post a couple pictures so you can see what they look like.

Both of these are an Adult XL, so if you are the type that isnt sure what size their head is, this would be great because they run a little long and they are double stranded so they will be warm. :)

I recently was a  postie on my friend Miss-Trisha's blog as a "Try It Tuesday" guest blogger. It came about as a project for my own home and trying to get rid of pesky gnats.  The project it self turned out great, I will post the link at the end of my session for today. If you get the chance after reading the blog go check out the other things she has on there, that is ONE TALENTED LADY folks!

Stop and check her out, shes got some pretty awesome stuff to look at, not to mention her Etsy store, that is located in the bloggish area as well!

Happy Valentines day and all that other stuff that i missed.... Changes Coming Soon!!! :)

Okay folks, I am back... At least til things start happening again.. Ha.. To give you an idea, we're in the process of building a house... Kind of. Rewind to last week... The semi brings half of our house down, and gets it stuck 3 times in our drive way... decides to block it, and leave it. Which is cool, however in the length of time, he also gets the truck stuck.. Tractors to the rescue.. And its unstuck. So then it rains and rains. Then its windy.. and even windier. Ugh... So yes... with that, we have half a house.. Kitchen, dining, laundry, 2nd bathroom and 3rd bedroom/guestroom/office type thing.

yep this is about when they got it stuck.

Needless to say after this picture... It only made it as far as the drive way, with enough room to get the truck out and so forth. So, this is the big news for right now..

In other news.....

I have 4 new hats made, 2 of which are now living in California, and 2 are in the mail to go back home. So excited I hope the girls like them when they arrive.. I'm thinking that maybe from now on I am going to actually have children's head measurements before doing a hat... I'm so afraid now of not having them fit or anything..No pics as of yet though..  Hopefully soon!   Not much more news other than that, hopefully soon i can show you pics of a completed house!

Happy Tuesday Y'all, And a Safe St. Patty's Day!

Friends, Family, and Strangers that become Friends and Family

I have always been blessed, with a circle of great friends and family.. Some being strangers, that I have randomly taken in, but all the same, when the times are tough, they are all family.

So, much like have talked about in most of my writing, my snowed in Michigan friend Annie has  been planning this wedding since the beginning of the year, off to lovely weathered Texas they go... (am i jealous you ask??? YES! and i have mentioned once or twice and.. will again... TAKE ME WITH YOU..please!?!?)  So, while conversing the other night she said she was going to work on her wedding dress... Yes my friends, she is making her own wedding dress... I tell ya she can do it all, make soap, spin wool, train animals, you name it... I, however... do not have these abilities, unless, its by fluke accident. Anyway,  we were conversing, and since i do (kind of) know a little bit about sewing, we were discussing zipper placement, lacework, ribbons, flowers, etc. Since, I have already done the marriage thing, I am solely here for advice, suggestion, or input in what may work or not. Yep, folks its pretty rough.. :) The other day it got me to thinking, (something i do not too often) and was wondering if there were still any Tailors left.. You know, the old timey folks that you use to be able to go to have your pants altered etc... And say, Hey, make me a wedding dress...

Something like this:
aint it pretty??!?! mine didnt look REMOTELY close to this.

Made by someone like this:
However....

I would settle for something like this:

Ty Pennington-- The Tailor... Yes Please!

I know that would be some encouragement to get some things going if I were in her shoes.  I havent heard of how the progress is going since, but as I imagine everything will go just fine... :)  I will keep you up to date on the progress and even get pictures if i can.

Have a Happy Monday folks!
